I believe Item Sets would be a great addition and expand the functionality of custom items further.
The idea is that it would act similar to your average MMORPG game. With different options on how it could be set up. Such as, The attributes on items belonging to a set would not be active unless the user is wearing all the pieces for that set. Or an option to set bonus stats for that set when equipped. For example the user gets +5 HP when all pieces are equipped.
